What is bootloader ?
Unlocking your bootloader is the first step towards rooting your phone and installing custom Rom's. It's also the place where most runn into trouble, not because it's especially difficult, but because phone manufacturers and network carriers(for some countries) don't want , or don't trust you to unlock it. An Android device consist of several pieces of software, which include the bootloader, radio, recovery, and the system. The bootloader is the first piece of software that is run when your device turns on. It decides whether to load the recovery, or load Android and the Radio. It packages the instructions to boot operating system kernal and most of them are specifically designed to run their own debugging or modification environment.
Unlocking bootloader of Xiomi device can be performed basically by 2 different methods. Anyone can Unlock either by Official Method provided by the Manufacturer or UnOfficial method provided by Developers.

The Unofficial Method
Many of us wanted to unlock the bootloader of our device but get annoyed with the waiting time that we will get when we try to unlock with official method. The unlock time may varry from 2-3 days to 30-60 days. So, what the XDA developer made for us is especially a special modded version that allow us to unlock the bootloader of our device without waiting and that too in a first attempt.
Requirements: Download and place these in your PC
1- Unlock tool V2. click here to download
2- ADB. click here to download
3- Fastboot Drivers. click here to download

OK, Now without doing much talks lets proceed.

Steps:
• Download all the tool.
• Extract it on your desktop using WinRAR.
• In your phone, Tap MIUI version 7 times to enable developer options.
" Open developer options and enable OEM UNLOCK and enable USB Debugging.
• Turn on mobile data now. Click Add account and device in MiUnlock Status option present in developer settings.
•In case you see an error like "Connect To Network And Try Again", then Logout the Mi Account from device & directly sign in from "Add account and device" in Mi Unlock Status.
In case you see an error like 86012, etc, Then it is better to wait for a week and then try. (Note- Trying again and again might block your account temporarily)
• If everything goes fine you will see Added Successfully. Mi account is now associated with your device.
• Now reboot the phone to fastboot mode. For that simply turn off your device, press the Power button, and Volume down ( – ) button at the same time.
• Open Unlock Tool V2 and sign in with your account.
• Open the settings icon on top right side and then Check the driver.
• Connect your device to PC.
• Now click on UNLOCK button.
Voila!!!!! Your device's bootloader got unlocked without any waiting time.

Redmi Note 3 Pro/ Redmi 4/ Redmi Note 4/ Redmi Note 5 Pro/ Redmi Note 7 Pro/ Redmi Note 8 Pro/ POCO F1/ POCO X2/ Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. It will definitely work with your device also.
